A famous poet said, “a thing of beauty is a joy forever.”
I have loved your music for almost 20 years and will probably go on loving it till the day I die.
In this world today, beauty is an endangered species. So much music is either mawkish or cloying or ridiculously sentimental. So much musical expression is simply aggressive, musical gymnastics, or just plain ugly.
Therefore, it is truly inspiring that a composer like you is creating something that we really need to hear. Maybe one reason why good music is in short supply can be found in Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote, “though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
And then there is what James Joyce said, “as to the proper experience of art, four things are needed: beauty, wholeness, harmony and radiance.”
Life is personal and as a cultivated taste is very personal. Therefore, the composer is always in search of an audience. But it would seem that those drawn to music, that seeks to reflect the world of freedom, beauty and peace in general and impressionistic music in particular will find your music “simply beautiful.”
